We’ve built our team over a decade, hiring staff who both excel at their craft but are also personable and understand great customer service.
We know the reputation that builders often have, and we’ve heard hundreds upon hundreds of horror stories of jobs going wrong and contractors breaking trust. It’s one of the reasons we started Unique Build. We put as much weight into honesty, transparency, and a great customer experience as we do into presenting a beautiful finished loft. These values are central to our business, and our business is comprised of our staff.
It’s this team that has earned us a Which? Trusted Traders recommendation and gained us membership with the Federation of Master Builders.
Our Founders
Rich Tai-Chidlow
With an education in design and business Rich spent his early career running Brighton’s famous ‘Zap’ club before a career change saw him become a qualified site carpenter. Rich’s managerial experience in hospitality has transferred well to the shopfitting and building industry, meaning that our projects are always well managed, both in terms of time and budget. Rich could well be your first contact at Unique Build and will always be happy to come out on site or to your home to discuss your project, provide you with a competitive estimate or give you help and advice on how to proceed through planning or structural issues.
Kieron Hatton
Having been involved with building and shopfitting work since 1996 for both local and national companies, Kieron has a wealth of knowledge and experience. As a director and project manager at Unique Build he is the main on site contact for many of our clients and ensures that they are kept up to date with all aspects of their projects as they progress. He takes a very hands on approach to his work, experienced in multi trades he is a creative problem solver who always arrives with a can do attitude.
